I had recently written a restaurant and hotel cookbooks checklist in follow-up to my post on Cookbook Collecting Specialization to give people ideas of books to collect in various categories. This post covers a list of Jewish community cookbooks. I was fortunate to find this list in the back of a cookbook referencing contributors to recipes for a Jewish cookbook. I know my mother-in-law has searched for such a list as her friend had a great community Jewish cookbook from City of Hope but she couldn't remember the name. I figured this type of list is difficult to compile so I've provided it below as a handy reference. Enjoy!
If you know more books to add to the list, please use the Comments link at the bottom of the post and let me know them. I'll try to gather them and update the list.

Ferro, the netherlands
Thank you Ferro. It's nice to see a fellow Dutchman. I updated the list with your two suggestions. I appreciate it. I probably have more to make on it, I've recently gotten in some Jewish community books but hadn't yet added them to this list. I don't have dates anymore for these books as I gathered them all from reference lists, some from past books I've sold but hadn't noted dates. I don't have my original list. I'll see if it is on my other computer and will post if I find it. At one point I had more details but cut it back to keep the list simplified. I'm so glad someone commenting. I thought no one was out there...

Nice list, but I've searched Great Lakes library, Library of Congress and the World Cat. for the "Fort Sheridan and Great Lakes Jewish Chapel" book with no success. Do you have a copy? or any info. additional info. re: publisher, date, and where it's archived? I'd be more than thrilled to pay for a photocopy. Thanks.
Hi. I don't have that book and may have not included the full title. I compiled the list from my own library of books and from the back of a book I once had for sale called: The Chosen Appetizers & Desserts. Published: 1/1/1982, 208 pages, Paperback , ISBN: 9780937404102
That book had a wonderful bibliography section in the back that listed the 120 books that the recipes in "The Chosen Appetizers and Desserts" had come from. If you can locate that book you could find out more info. I see one on ebay: 200304008394 if you are interested. I wish I could help further but don't have that one in my library.
IN PERFECT TASTE Philadelphia Chapter of Hadassah; Edited by Corinne Levy, Elaine Sussman, & Marlene Zarwin, with art by Birdie Dash. First printing, 1982. Blue, three-ring binder.
"Mother's Way Cook Book," 1966, spiral bound, was donated for our AAUW Book Sale yesterday. Pub. by Hebrew Ladies Aid Society of Ahavath Sholom Synagogue and Hadassah Chapter of Great Barrington, VT. Ads throughout. At every divider, envelope provided for recipe cards. My daughter pulled out of reject pile where someone had thrown due to broken spiral binding. Wonderful recipes. kathylbp@aol.com
